I can’t say enough about how wonderful The Local Shacks at Austin Ranch was for my best friend’s engagement party! From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel at home and created the perfect setting for such a special occasion.

Brian, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, which took so much stress off our shoulders.

Val and her team were phenomenal, taking care of us all evening with incredible service and genuine kindness. They didn’t miss a beat, making sure everyone in our group was comfortable and happy throughout the celebration.

The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, with just the right mix of energy and intimacy for an engagement party. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the overall vibe of the place added to the magic of the evening.

If you’re planning a special event or just want a fantastic dining experience, The Local Shacks at Austin Ranch is the place to go. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate love and happiness!

I love going to the Local for game days especially! But also live in Austin Ranch so often times I just walk there and hang out!
So much to offer here and with the best bartenders Jared and Mika. They know so many of us by name and take care of my friends and I making sure we got a drink in our hand! They also build conversations and relationships with people they are serving which makes us all want to come back and enjoy this awesome place!

What a great spot for an evening with friends or that special someone. I love how everything is spread out and offers a variety of food types. Super cool that it’s dog friendly (saw many furry friends that evening).
The service was great, I was a little disappointed that they were out of meatball sliders but will look forward to trying them next time.
We were there for a concert and there wasn’t a spot where the music wasn’t present. The outside was great, a break to go inside was nice where the bar area was air conditioned.

I will look forward to many future visits!

I will be honest, the live music is what I got here it was great, and after they did they left a playlist of curated songs that felt really nice. But that's not the regular music here the regular music is not great sometimes just basic.

The drinks were great, and the space and food looked great too. I will choose carefully who's playing.

My family, friends and I very much enjoy visiting The Local Shacks. They have a very large pet-friendly yard with games and plenty of seating as well as covered but open-air seating at tables and couches. They also have a smaller air conditioned space where their main bar and food counter are. You can choose between a few different full service walk up bars that they’ll open up based on number of patrons.
There are plentiful TVs to see your team play.
One huge standout is the staff! I’m not sure if it’s very selective hiring, training or a combination but every time I’ve been, busy or slow, I’ve experienced Chick-fil-A caliber service. Check The Local out the next time you’re looking for a patio hang-out.

(My per person spend noted is not because they are pricey…. Their prices are in line with other establishments in the area. We just like to hang out there for a while.)

Great concept, atmosphere, and service, worst drinks ever!

This place has so much potential! Everything about it is great but the bartenders are so scared to even put a full shot of liquor in a drink it's ridiculous! Bartenders use a jigger which is fine, but they wouldn't let it touch the top, not even close. I'm not asking for a lot but please give me at least what I paid for. Asked the bartenders what the deal was and they said if they get close they're out. I guess there's a reason such a great place was so empty on a football Saturday. Not bad if you drink beer but don't expect much otherwise.

Great stage, no band. This place is like Six Flags without the rides.

Again, great place, just don't expect real drinks or anything close to it and don't expect to get what you pay for. Change what you need to charge, we're all good with that, but give us what we paid for. Most of our crew know the owner, most of us won't be back

Such an awesome venue & the service was phenomenal!! Perfect place for a fun group outing! Jared, one of the servers/bartenders, took wonderful care of our group & was super attentive throughout the night. He ensured that everyone’s drink was full, helped us with all game supplies (bags for corn hole, balls for beer pong, etc.), and made sure all needs were met. Our crew had an excellent time hanging out on the patio & enjoying a little friendly competition with all the games. Spectacular night from start to finish & we can’t wait to go back!!

My husband and I and quite a few of our friends frequent this place regularly. Love the staff, but it just seems to be going down hill. Events are sporadic, and they're either posted way in advance or last minute. The bar is understocked that we have to change or drink preference. I asked one of the girl managers when the A/C would get fixed and she said the owner was too cheap. This place has great potential, but I feel it needs to be managed better. We love our bartenders though, they are awesome! Highly recommend this place if they can get their act together.
